SWAN COMMENDS EBS, ALENKHE FOR HISTORIC LIVE BROADCAST OF EDO QUEENS’ WAFU-B FINAL The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Edo State Chapter, warmly commends the Management and staff of the Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), led by the Acting Managing Director,  Dr. Festus Alenkhe, for the station’s outstanding and historic live broadcast of the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU-B Final between Edo Queens and Ampem Darkoa FC of Ghana in Burkina Faso on Saturday. Razak Zekeri, September 6th is not just about cake and celebrations. It is a day of giving back. For years, the Governor’s aide has made it a tradition to mark his birthday at the Corner Stone of Hope Orphanage Home in Benin City, spending the day with children who have little but hope. It is  now very regular as preparation for 2027 promotion is ongoing. .  This is not small. This is governance. *What This Means for Edo Families* For too long, "salary delay" was part of our vocabulary. Workers borrowed to survive. Pensioners who served the state for 35 years were left to beg. That uncertainty broke homes and killed morale. Today, the story has changed.    *Predictability*: When you know your pay will come on the 25...

Rather than dwell on personalities or engage in needless mudslinging, it is important to place the facts before the public. The reality is that EBS is undergoing significant changes aimed at improving its editorial operations, security, financial accountability, digital presence and overall effectiveness. *Editorial Transformation*  Over the past three months, EBS has embarked on a comprehensive redesign of its editorial operations. Reporters now file live reports for News Now at 12 noon daily, enabling listeners to receive timely infor...
