Edo NAWOJ Sympathizes With State Council Chairman Over Passage Of His Mum

National Association of Women Journalists ( NAWOj)) Edo state chaoter has joined the legion of sympathisers to console the Chairman
of the State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Festus Alenkhe over the passage of his mother, Madam Rose Akuogbe Alenkhe.
In their message signed by the Chairperson, Comrade Adesuwa Ehimuan, the NAWOJ among others said: “The Executive and Members of the Nigeria Association Of Women Journalists(NAWOJ), Edo State Chapter sympathize with Comrade Festus Alenkhe, Chairman, NUJ, Edo State Council on the demise of his beloved mother, Madam Rose Akuogbe Alenkhe.
"We pray to God to place the soul of the deceased among the faithfuls and also give the children the spirit to bear the irreparable loss.
"While we are in solidarity with you and your entire" family in this moment of your grief, we are not unmindful of the fact that Mama lived a life of emulation and left her imprints in the sands of time, including legacies in the birth of wonderful children, among whom you are counted
It is our prayer that God Almighty grants the soul of Mama peace and imbue you all with the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Amen.”
Comrade Alenkhe’s mother’s passage was formally announced through a statement from the Council’s Secretary, Mr. Andy Egbon.
The statement said the late Madam Alenkhe aged 76 years passed away in the early hours of Monday, November 7.
Date of the burial of the deceased Septugenarian is expected to be announced in due course.
