Edo State DPP Finds Sufficient Evidence To Prosecutes Two Attempted Murder,Arson

The Edo State Ministry of Justice's Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has found sufficient evidence to prosecute two individuals, Ahunwa Osaro and Odaro Oviarobo, for attempted murder, arson, and malicious damage in Benin City.
Following a review of the case files submitted by the police, the DPP concluded that a prima facie case exists against the two accused.
A letter issued by the DPP and addressed to the Edo State Commissioner of Police outlined the legal advice, emphasizing the need for full prosecution.
The accused are alleged to have attacked Uyi Tina, Ahunwa Osaro's estranged wife, around ldumwuowina on the Benin-Lagos road in Benin City.
The incident left Tina hospitalized for over six weeks, resulting in significant property and financial losses.
With the DPP's advice, the case is expected to proceed, marking a crucial step towards justice for the victim.
