2024 National Sports Festival: Edo Sports Chairman Expresses Confidence in Team's Preparation

Led by the executive chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, Team Edo made a striking impression with an historic march past at the ongoing 2024 National Sports Festival at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State. 

The ceremony commenced at the weekend with a spectacular opening ceremony presided over by Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, who represented President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun.

At the ceremony, which featured a dazzling display of dance, music, calisthenics, and fireworks, making it one of the most impressive opening ceremonies in the festival's history, Enabulele expressed confidence in Team Edo's preparation.

He highlighted the unwavering support of Governor Monday Okpebholo, noting that the team's rousing reception during the colorful display was a strong indication of its readiness to compete.

Afrobeat sensation, Davido electrified the stadium with a thrilling performance, getting the crowd on their feet. 

The festival features over 10,000 athletes from all 36 states, the Federal Capital Territory, and the IJA team, competing in 33 sports.

The 2024 National Sports Festival is a celebration not just of sporting excellence but also of the resilient spirit of the Nigerian people. Athletes, officials, and fans alike look forward to exciting competitions across multiple venues.
