Edo Govt Partners LAPO MfB For Financial Empowerment of Civil Servants

Habiba Sam The Edo State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the Lift Above Poverty Organization Microfinance Bank (LAPO MfB) to promote economic empowerment among civil and public servants in the state. 

This partnership aims to provide homegrown initiatives and credit support to enhance the financial well-being of state employees.

During a meeting with LAPO officials, the The Head of Service, Dr. Anthony Okungbowa Esq., expressed Governor Monday Okpebholo's deep commitment to grassroots-focused and locally-rooted solutions. 

He highlighted the potential benefits of partnering with LAPO MfB, including enhanced financial inclusion and support for civil and public servants.

Dr. Okungbowa praised LAPO's roots in Edo State and its proven track record in the microfinance industry. He encouraged the organization to ensure competitive products and rates, emphasizing the importance of impact alongside business.

The Head of Communication at LAPO, Mr. Oluremi Akande, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed LAPO's commitment to empowering Edo State employees and grassroots communities. 

He highlighted LAPO's mission to provide affordable financial services, citing the organization's past achievements, including awarding scholarships to over 3,000 individuals and providing skills training to over 1,500 beneficiaries.
