Edo Police Command Takes Proactive Measures To Prevent Security Breaches During NBM Founders Day Celebration

According to intelligence reports, there are concerns that the event could be used as an opportunity to cause mayhem and breach security.
The police command has made deployments across the state to ensure that law and order are maintained. In a statement released by CSP Moses Joel Yamu, Police Public Relations Officer, Edo State Command, the police warned hoteliers, lounge and bar owners, and other business premises that could serve as hideouts for potential troublemakers not to host any unlawful gatherings.
The police command has cautioned that any business premises found to be hosting such gatherings will face the full wrath of the law.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Monday Agbonika, has appealed to the public to be security conscious and report any suspicious gatherings or activities to the police.
The Edo State Police Command has recently arrested several suspected cultists, including the alleged leader of NBM in the Edo Central senatorial district.
Firearms and other incriminating evidence were recovered from the suspects. The police command's warning to hoteliers and the recent arrests demonstrate the government's commitment to maintaining law and order in the state.
The state government, led by Governor Monday Okpebholo, has taken a zero-tolerance stance on cultism, directing security agencies to crack down on suspected cultists.
