Edo Commissioner Lauds Tinubu's Reforms, Hails Okpebholo's Achievements

The Edo State Commissioner for Education and State Director of the City Boy Movement, Paddy Iyamu, has expressed his profound appreciation for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's introduction of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
This initiative is designed to ensure that no child in Edo State is deprived of education due to financial difficulties.
In a recent address at the City Boy Movement empowerment program lunch in Benin City, Iyamu commended Governor Monday Okpebholo's first-year achievements, which include the establishment of 68 new schools, the provision of ₦1 billion in student bursaries, scholarships to China, and empowerment programs for women and small businesses.
Iyamu described Governor Okpebholo as a virtuous leader who is committed to bringing succor to the needy in society.
Iyamu praised Governor Okpebholo, saying, "Governor Okpebholo is a virtuous son who goes to where the father wants him to go," adding that the governor is a listening leader who fixes problems once they are identified.
The APC State Chairman, Jarrett Tenebe, expressed confidence that the party would deliver 3.5 million votes for President Tinubu in the next election. "No break, no gear, no sense," Tenebe said, emphasizing that Edo State has already settled everything for the President.
The Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa, urged youths to support the City Boy Movement and ensure that Edo delivers the highest votes for President Tinubu in the South-South region in the next election.
"With the Governor Okpebholo's performance, opposition in Edo will soon be a thing of the past," Idahosa declared.
The Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, praised Governor Okpebholo's achievements, describing the event as a celebration of peace and progress.
"The progress we see today is a result of the emergence of a dynamic governor committed to development," he said, highlighting the importance of youths in state and national agendas.
The Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Francis Oluwatosin, commended the Governor Okpebholo's progress in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, describing him as a visionary and silent achiever.
He reaffirmed the group's commitment to mobilizing 10 million votes nationwide for President Tinubu in 2027.
In his remarks, Governor Okpebholo commended President Tinubu for his courageous and forward-thinking economic reforms, which he believes are propelling Nigeria's transformation and driving rapid development in Edo State.
The Governor emphasized that the President's policies have empowered states to undertake impactful projects, including ongoing infrastructure works and flyovers across Edo.
"His reforms may be challenging, but they are necessary for our nation's growth," Okpebholo stated, highlighting his administration's efforts to deliver tangible change across Edo's three senatorial districts, with a focus on education.
