NAWOJ Edo Chapter Meets Head of Service, Seeks Support for Women Journalists

Comrade Sam commended the Head of Service ,for his tireless efforts in driving the the civil service and fostering a conducive work environment through digitalization of its operations, which aligns with Governor Monday Okpebholo's "Shine Agenda".
She reaffirm NAWOJ's commitment to professionalism, advocacy, and service which is the association core values
The Chairperson sought Dr. Okungbowa's support in empowering women journalists with alternative income sources, including training in digital media, provision of working tools, and vocational skills. This, she noted, would enhance their economic prospects and professional performance.
Dr. Okungbowa emphasized the importance of digitalization in improving service delivery, citing the establishment of a functional icloud platform (Edo gov 2.0) and ongoing training programs for civil servants.
He assured NAWOJ of the state government's commitment to technological advancement and invited other states to understudy Edo's digital transformation initiatives.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to collaboration, as NAWOJ and the Head of Service's office look to work together to advance the cause of women and vulnerable groups in Edo State.
