The path to  excellence in crime reportage is often  fraught with unforeseen peril, yet Festus Alenkhe has undauntedly  confronted the hazards of the profession  with dogged resolve, his determination unshaken by the lurking shadows of the criminal underworld. 

His unflinching courage and unyielding perseverance have seen him through the most harrowing of circumstances, as he has fearlessly delved into the heart of criminal operations, unearthing the truth and presenting it to the world with unparalled lucidity and depth. 

As the esteemed Assistant General Manager ,News  and Defence and Security Chief of  Edo Broadcasting Service and the revered Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo State Council, Comrade  Festus Alenkhe has carved a legacy as one of the most formidable and respected crime reporters of our time.

Fearlessly navigating the treacherous terrain of the criminal underworld, Festus  Alenkhe has confronted danger with a steadfast resolve that has become the hallmark of his illustrious career. 

Driven by an unquenchable thirst for truth, he has delved deep into the heart of the shadows, unearthing the intricate machinations of the most elusive and ruthless criminal enterprises.

With a keen eye for detail and an unyielding commitment to precision, Comrade Festus Alenkhe has brought to light the hidden narratives that would otherwise have remained shrouded in darkness. His reports, imbued with a rare lucidity and depth, have captivated audiences across the globe, inspiring awe and respect for his relentless commitment to his craft.

Born into the family of Alenkhe  of Okhuesan Community, Esan South-East Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria, his sojourn into limelight started as a young kid when he started his primary education at Arinze Primary School and Niger College in Benin City.

He thereafter moved to  Utoka Grammar School, Ovia North-East Local Government Area of Edo state where he obtained his West African School Certificate (WAEC). 

He also attended College of Education, Ekiadolor, where he read English/Linguistics and then obtained his National Certificate In Education. ( NCE) . 

Festus Alenkhe, who holds a Diploma Certificate in Broadcast Journalism from New York Film Academy also attended the University of Benin where he bagged a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Studies And Diplomacy (B.A),  a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism from the International Institute of Journalism, IIJ, affiliated to the University of Maiduguri.

A Holder of a certificate in Paediatric Art from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), a certificate in Radio/TV news reporting from the Consular General of the United States of America Embassy in Nigeria, and also  a certificate on Executive MASTERCLASS from London Centre For Training And Development. 

He is an  Africa Ambassador  of the World Safety Organisation (WSO).

Comrade Festus Alenkhe is a fellow of  Global Safety institute. ( FGSI).

His trophy shelf is filled with a legion of awards which he got from within and outside the shores of Nigeria.

Widely travelled comrade Festus Alenkhe is a Jerusalem Pilgrim (JP) following his religious visits to Rome, Israel, Jericho, Greece, Bethlehem, Jordan and Egypt.

 He is a Peace Ambassador, courtesy of the Universal Peace Federation. 

Comrade Alenkhe is a Global Diplomat as accredited by the lnternational Association Of World Peace Advocates through United Nations "ECOSOC" where he was also conferred with an Eminent Peace Award with registration number UN-V/WEB/5862/2025.

His media experience which has benefited the entire Nigerian society and Nigerians in diaspora through key programmes – Crime Watch and Crime Alert now Security Watch and Security Alert which runs on both Radio and Television  in EBS have spanned over two decades.

Dogged and unrelenting Festus Alenkhe have embarked on Crime News investigative visits to Austria, Italy, Spain, France, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and United States of America where he did a special report on the assassination of the former President of America, John Fritzgerald Kennedy with a visit to the spot where he was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, USA.

He  is a resource person to the core. He loves his job with  passion and believes in engaging the youths towards having a crime free Nigerian society where peace, security, justice, progress and development  reign.

Festus Alenkhe was the Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Edo state Chapter from 2001 to 2004,  Chairman, Nigerian Red Cross Society, Edo state Branch from 2015 to 2023. 

 He was also chairman, Students Representatives Council, College of Education, Ekiadolor and was later Speaker of the Students Union Government, College of Education, Ekiadolor and a Chief of the Kegites Club International,  lLYA VHF. A member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), a member of the Benin Recreation Club "1933".

He was the Vice Chairman of Edo State Agency for the Prevention Of HIV/AIDS.

In 2020 during the Covid 19 era,  he was a member of the Risk Pillar of Edo State COVID-19 prevention team.

Through his tireless efforts, Comrade Festus Alenkhe  garnered numerous accolades and recognitions, both at home and abroad.

 His work has been celebrated for a profound impact, as he has severally shone light on the darkest corners of the society, empowering the voiceless and challenging the status quo.

As the world continues to grapple with the complexities of the modern criminal landscape, Festus Alenkhe stands as a light in the tunnel, a testament to the transformative power of fearless journalism.

His story is one of relentless commitment, uncompromising integrity, and an undeterred belief in the pursuit of truth – a testament to the enduring spirit of the intrepid chronicler of the  underworld, the real master of the game.

The unassuming Journalist and sports lover has been very supportive of Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin.

 Comrade Festus Alenkhe is an author with a book titled “Crime Watch”–A Security Mirror Of The Nigerian Society. 

  As Chairman of the Nigeria Union Of Journalists,  Edo state council , Comrade Festus Alenkhe has attracted so many Developments to the Edo NUJ. 

Fencing of the back side of the union Secretariat, installation of 24 hours CCTV facilities, uninterrupted internet facility and the continuous maintenance of the Edo NUJ Secretariat.  

In August, 2025 , Comrade Festus Alenkhe singlehandedly built and donated  an ultra modern Gate for the Press centre in Benin City and a special sign post.

The project was commissioned by the Deputy National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists,  Comrade Mrs Abimbola Oyetunde and the former chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists,  Edo state council,  Comrade Goddy Erhahon.  

No wonder  Festus Alenkhe was honoured by the London Centre For Training And Development with a honorary doctoral award. 

The Award was presented in Lewisham ,London,  United Kingdom to Dr Festus Alenkhe on the 3rd of October,  2024. 

Festus Alenkhe is a man of impeccable character whose wealth of experience  knows no bound.

Festus Alenkhe is a member of SLEAMP 13 Course of the National Institute For Policy And Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru Jos in March, 2025. 

Festus Alenkhe represented  Nigeria at the United Nations Summit on Social Development held in Doha , Qatar in November, 2025. 

He is the chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Edo state council and the Assistant General Manager News ,Radio/TV, Edo Broadcasting Service. 

Festus Alenkhe has an established family.
