Chief Dr. Abraham Jimawo (JP) has scaled a major hurdle in his bid for the House of Representatives seat for Etsako Federal Constituency after being successfully screened and cleared by the party’s Screening Committee on Sunday, 10th May 2026.

The screening, held in Abuja, was conducted thoroughly and professionally, according to the Project 2027 Jimawo Organisation. Dr. Jimawo presented his credentials, policy agenda, and record of public service, which the committee found to be in full compliance with party guidelines.

With the clearance, the frontline aspirant moves a step closer to contesting the party primaries scheduled for 18th May 2026.

Speaking after the exercise, Dr. Jimawo expressed gratitude to the committee for its diligence and reiterated his pledge to provide inclusive and accountable representation for the people of Etsako East, West, and Central. He said the clearance marks a critical step toward his vision of a constituency anchored on infrastructure development, agricultural transformation, youth and women empowerment, and responsible governance.

“Today’s outcome affirms our commitment to due process and service-driven leadership,” he said, adding that his campaign remains focused on grassroots mobilisation and engagement with stakeholders across the constituency and in the diaspora.

The Project 2027 Jimawo Organisation commended the Screening Committee for upholding due process and thanked party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters for their trust and support.

The group said it would intensify efforts ahead of the primaries to secure a mandate that will deliver responsive representation and tangible development to Etsako Federal Constituency.
