Gov. Okpebholo Unveils Solar Water Facility in Irrua, Hails Premium Trust Bank’s Investment in Edo Communities

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, on commissioned a new solar-powered water facility at the Irrua Model Market. The project was donated by Premium Trust Bank as part of its corporate social responsibility drive.[today]The commissioning was carried out jointly with the Managing Director of Premium Trust Bank, Mr. Emmanuel Emefienim. The facility is expected to guarantee traders and residents in Irrua steady access to safe and clean drinking water.
Speaking during the event, Governor Okpebholo described the intervention as a major step toward improving public health and uplifting community living standards.
He praised Premium Trust Bank and its leadership for keying into the state’s development agenda, noting that the gesture reflects the bank’s trust in the economic prospects of Irrua and Edo State at large.
“I deeply appreciate Premium Trust Bank and its Managing Director, Mr. Emmanuel Emefienim, for believing in our people and for investing in Irrua. We will keep building a business-friendly environment that draws more investment and promotes lasting growth across Edo State,” the governor said.
Okpebholo further restated his government’s resolve to encourage more public-private partnerships that will upgrade infrastructure, widen access to basic services, and speed up economic progress in every part of the state.
The solar-powered water project is expected to serve hundreds of market users daily while reducing dependence on generators and cutting operational costs.
