CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO THE ESAMA OF BENIN KINGDOM, CHIEF DR. GABRIEL OSAWARU IGBINEDION, ON HIS 92ND BIRTHDAY


On behalf of the entire members of Working People United for Good Governance, and in my personal capacity as a former president of Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, leader, I heartily felicitate with our father, elder statesman, and distinguished philanthropist, Chief Dr. Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, The Esama of Benin Kingdom, on the auspicious occasion of your 92nd birthday.


92 years of impact is not just age  it is legacy..


Your life trajectory stands as a masterclass in vision, enterprise, and service. From pioneering indigenous business and aviation, to revolutionizing broadcasting and education, you have consistently demonstrated that true wealth is measured by the institutions we build and the lives we uplift.


As a former labour leader, I am particularly proud of your commitment to job creation and human capital development. For over five decades, you have invested in:  

- Education: Establishing institutions that have produced thousands of graduates  

- Healthcare: Building infrastructure that gives hope to the common man  

- Media & Aviation, Opening doors for Nigerians to compete globally  

- Community Development: Touching the grassroots through direct interventions


Your Excellency, you have taught us that the private sector must be a partner in national development. You proved that success is most meaningful when it is used as an instrument for societal advancement.


The Working People of Nigeria celebrate you because you embody the values we stand for: dignity of labour, equity, and using influence to create opportunities for others. At a time when our nation seeks models of responsible wealth and patriotic leadership, your life offers a clear path.


As we join His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo Governor of Edo State, and millions of Nigerians workers to celebrate you, my prayer is that Almighty God will continue to grant you sound health, renewed strength, wisdom, and many more years of purposeful living in service to God and humanity.

  

May your torch of philanthropy continue to shine brighter. May Edo State, the Benin Kingdom, and Nigeria continue to benefit from your counsel and generosity. Amen..
