Thirteen-year-old Victory Iniobong Nkankuk from Akwa Ibom State has been crowned Little Miss Nigeria Ambassador 2026 after excelling at the national pageant held in Abuja.

Victory, an indigene of Urue-Offong/Oruko Local Government Area, emerged Ambassador in the keenly contested competition and will serve alongside the Little Miss Nigeria Crown Queen during her reign.

She arrived Uyo on Monday, October 5, 2026 to a warm reception at the Victor Attah International Airport before proceeding to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare where she was formally received.

On behalf of the Commissioner, Hon. Mrs. Inibehe Silas Etukudo, the Director of Child Development, Mrs. Enoima Clinton, congratulated her for making the state proud in record time.

"I welcome you back from Abuja. I am very proud of you; you have made us proud. Just three days ago, you joined the contest, and today you are back with the crown, Little Miss Nigeria Ambassador. May your reign be very successful," Clinton said.

The reception was spiced with a performance by the Ndito Uforo Cultural Troupe.

Coordinator of the Akwa Ibom Young Professionals Initiative, Mr. Akan Ekpenyong, praised Governor Umo Eno for his child-friendly policies and inclusive governance, noting that Victory was supported as a child of the state without bias.

He thanked the Commissioner for Women Affairs for sponsoring her, and appreciated Deputy Governor Senator Dr. Akon Eyakenyi and the Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, Lady Helen Obareki, for their support. He also lauded Mrs. Clinton and Mrs. Ibekwe, Victory's chaperone, for their dedication.

Ekpenyong said massive votes and goodwill from across the state helped Victory clinch the crown, adding that her participation reflects the state's resolve to create platforms for children to shine. He called for continued support for her pet project focused on enrolling street children in the state's free education programme.

Victory's father, Elder Prince Iniobong Nkankuk, expressed gratitude to Governor Eno, the ministry and all supporters, saying the Governor's "Akwa Ibom United" mantra shows there is no discrimination in the state. He also thanked the Chairman of Urue-Offong/Oruko LGA, Rt. Hon. Chief Ambassador Etim Udo, JP.

Team Leader of the Young Professionals Initiative, Miss Testimony Otobong Richard, and Rev. Efretuei Uyah Akaduh also felicitated Victory, saying her win has brought honour to her LGA and the state.

In her remarks, Victory thanked God, Governor Eno for the opportunity, Commissioner Etukudo for sponsoring and believing in her, and all who voted and supported her.

She appealed for government support for her pet project which seeks to reach out to street children, encourage them to embrace free education and become responsible citizens.
