A Pressing Plea for Help-Young Couple Seeks Assistance to Discharge Their Newborn Baby

A young couple, Mr. Saviour Sunday, 29, and his wife, Mrs. Beauty Sunday, 24, from Oruk Anam LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA of AKWAIBOM State, are in dire need of financial assistance to discharge their newborn baby boy from St. Philomena Hospital in Benin City. 
The baby, born prematurely on May 29, has been receiving treatment at the hospital and is currently in a stable condition. However, the couple is struggling to pay the outstanding bill of N1.4 million.
The baby was born at a midwife center and was quickly referred to Modic Children Specialist Hospital due to breathing difficulties. 

After paying N18,000 for oxygen treatment, the couple was referred to Medvic Hospital, where they were asked to make an instant deposit  of N850,000. There after pay the sum N 118,000 per day till his discharged 

Unable to afford this amount, they were later referred to St. Philomena Hospital, where the baby received immediate attention and was placed on oxygen.

Mrs. Beauty Sunday, a recent civil service recruit as a cleaner under Governor Monday Okpebholo's administration, Mr. Saviour Sunday, who works as a Bar man  in a hotel, is finding it challenging to cover the medical expenses. 

Despite paying N200,000 and receiving a generous donation of N70,000 from a good Samaritan, the couple is still unable to pay the balance of N1.4 million.

The couple is reaching out to well-meaning Nigerians and corporate organizations for financial assistance to discharge their baby from the hospital.
