Edo First Lady's Office Pledges Support for GBV Survivors, Empowers Women

The Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, has reiterated the Edo State Government's commitment to combating Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and empowering women. During a meeting with GBV survivors and beneficiaries of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

Anani emphasized the administration's zero-tolerance policy for violence against women and its focus on empowering women to enhance their self-sufficiency.

Mrs. Anani encouraged survivors to speak out and seek justice, highlighting the importance of empowerment for their well-being. She also advised the beneficiaries to utilize the resources provided wisely and make prudent financial decisions.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the support, with one of them, Isoken Amadin, promising to make the most of the opportunities provided and inspire others.
