The Edo State Government has reiterated its commitment to fighting Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and promoting women's empowerment.

Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, made this pledge during a meeting with GBV survivors and beneficiaries of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) grants.

The Sen. Monday Okpebholo-led administration has adopted a zero-tolerance stance on violence against women, prioritizing their empowerment to boost self-sufficiency.

Mrs. Anani urged survivors to speak out and seek justice, emphasizing that empowerment is crucial to their well-being. She also counseled beneficiaries to use resources wisely and make informed financial decisions.

Mrs. Anani expressed hope that the resources provided would have a multiplier effect, enabling beneficiaries to support others and become inspirations.

Isoken Amadin, a beneficiary, thanked Mrs. Anani for the support and promised to maximize the opportunities, using the resources to achieve goals and inspire others.
