Edo NBA Chairman Spearheads New Land Documentation For Improved Remuneration Standards Among Edo Lawyers



Habiba Sam The Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Benin Branch ,Mr. Idemudia Iredia Osifo,has launched a "Movement" for a new Land documentation regime aimed at improving remuneration standards for lawyers in Edo state.

This was announced today at a sensitization programme on the Legal Practitioners Remuneration Order,2023,and the official launch of the Branch seal.

The NBA Chairman stated that the new land documentation regime  is aimed to improve standards in the remuneration regime for lawyers in Edo state, especially regarding land instruments.

" The time has come for us to reclaim our rightful place,we are calling on you to jettison pittance and roguery and embrace prestige and abundance " . 

"A sensitization movement has begun to enlighten members and the public on the new regime,I urge you to be dedicated ambassador of the new regime ". He stressed .

He urged members to look straight into clients eyes to explain the new regime for the core practice of the profession.The MBA Boss warned "black sheep" within their ranks who engage in sharp practices to cut corners and circumvent procedures to  desist from it,or face  consequences,to potential stripping of their lawyer's title 

High point of the event was the launch of the stamp by the state Anthony General  and Commissioner for justice,  Hon. Samson Osagie,  who was represented by  the ministry's Permanent secretary, ,Mrs Aigbavboa Aikefe.
