After three decades of relentless work and unwavering determination, Benin Kingdom Chief John Osamede Adun, popularly known as Bob-Izua, has marked a personal milestone by acquiring a fleet of luxury automobiles. The Ayobahan of Benin Kingdom hosted family, friends, and well-wishers to a lavish reception at his Benin residence to celebrate the arrival of four high-end vehicles he recently purchased. The highlight of the collection is a 2013 Rolls Royce, a dream he said he has held since 30 years ago.
Speaking to guests, Chief Adun described the moment as the fulfillment of a long-held vision born out of years of sacrifice and persistence.
“I called you all here today to celebrate with me,” he said. “I am overjoyed because this Rolls Royce 2013 model has been my dream for three decades. I will drive it from Ogbelaka to the Oba’s palace, and if I get tired, I’ll step out, walk a bit, and get back in. My supporters will be dancing alongside me all the way.”
Beyond the Rolls Royce, the fleet includes a 2018 Range Rover Evoque valued at N110 million, a 2018 Mercedes Benz E350 worth N45 million, and a 2018 Jaguar priced at N15 million. The Rolls Royce alone was acquired for N800 million. A fifth vehicle, described as a mobile unit fitted with a toilet and bed, is also on its way to his residence.

The prominent Benin chief and transport mogul explained that the cars would serve different purposes, with the Rolls Royce reserved for palace functions and other ceremonial engagements. He said the acquisition was his way of rewarding himself after years of dedication to business and service.
Addressing younger Nigerians, Chief Bob-Izua urged them to remain committed to hard work, stressing that success comes through patience, discipline, and persistence.
“As a transporter and businessman, I know what it means to struggle and stay consistent,” he said. “It took years of commitment before I could get to this point. I thank God for making it possible.”
His son, Mr. Nosa Adun, joined in the celebration and described his father as a passionate car lover whose achievements are the product of decades of dedication. He prayed for God to grant his father good health and long life to enjoy the fruits of his labor.
For Chief Adun, the fleet represents more than luxury—it stands as a symbol of what focus and perseverance can achieve over time.
