A new chapter for Edo State’s creative scene opened in Benin on Sunday as showbiz mogul and creative industry expert Markus Mckane Okoebor unveiled _“Edo To The World”_, a statewide talent hunt designed to discover, nurture, and project the next generation of Edo artists onto the global stage.

The initiative, driven by Brotherly Love Entertainment in partnership with the Edo State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, is more than a competition. It’s a structured platform aimed at empowering young creatives, preserving Edo’s cultural heritage, and creating a sustainable pipeline for talent development across music, comedy, dance, and performance arts.

Speaking at the launch event in Benin City, Okoebor set the tone for what he described as a transformative moment for the state’s creative economy.

“Edo State is a powerhouse of raw talent,” he said. “What has been missing is structure and visibility. _Edo To The World_ is about giving our young artists the stage, the mentorship, and the exposure they need to move from local recognition to global relevance.”

Unlike conventional talent shows centered in the capital, _Edo To The World_ will take the search to the people. Auditions and regional showcases will run across all 18 Local Government Areas and the three senatorial districts, ensuring that talent in rural communities gets the same opportunity as those in Benin City.

The journey will build toward an explosive grand finale in Benin City, packaged as a full-scale concert experience that organizers say will blend live performances, cultural showcases, and industry networking.

The project’s star power is already drawing attention. Comedy heavyweights I Go Dye, Klint Da Drunk, and Edo Pikin are confirmed to lend their influence as mentors and performers, offering both credibility and hands-on guidance to emerging acts. Organizers say more artists, producers, and cultural figures will be announced in the coming weeks to round out the lineup.

For attendees, the grand finale promises a night of high-energy performances, cultural pride, and the chance to witness history as the first cohort of _Edo To The World_ winners are crowned. Beyond entertainment, the event is positioned as a networking hub where young creatives can connect with industry veterans, investors, and platforms that can take their careers beyond Edo State.

Okoebor and the organizing team are urging Edo residents and lovers of Nigerian culture to secure their tickets early. They argue that attending isn’t just about watching a show—it’s about being part of a movement to reposition Edo’s creative identity on the national and global map.

“Every ticket purchased supports a young artist’s dream,” one organizer noted. “This is how we preserve our heritage, create jobs in the creative sector, and tell the world that Edo’s talent is ready.”

With auditions set to roll out across the state in the coming weeks, _Edo To The World_ is framing itself as both a talent hunt and a cultural renaissance. For young creatives, it’s a shot at visibility. For the audience, it’s a chance to say: “I was there when it started.”
