ABUJA/BENIN CITY— Celebration erupted among supporters on Wednesday as Hon. Chief Dr. Abraham Jimawo (JP), ILUNAMIE 1 of The Three Ibie, formally submitted his Nomination and Expression of Interest forms to the All Progressives Congress, APC, National Secretariat in Abuja.
The submission, which took place on May 6, 2026, marks a key step in Jimawo’s bid to represent Etsako Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives in 2027.
In a statement issued Thursday by his campaign team, the _JIMAWO Project 2027 Organisation_, the event was described as both a procedural milestone and a moment of jubilation for members, supporters, and stakeholders across Etsako West, Etsako Central, and Etsako East.
According to the statement signed by the organisation’s Chief Public Relations Officer, Comrade Dr. Kenneth Oshiogwemoh, the submission was carried out in “strict compliance” with APC rules and procedures. Despite the rigorous process, Jimawo’s team said the exercise was completed with diligence, orderliness, and transparency.
Chief Dr. Jimawo attributed the successful submission to divine grace, giving glory to Almighty God for strength and guidance throughout the process. He also commended the APC administrative team for conducting the exercise professionally.
“For the JIMAWO Project 2027 family, yesterday’s submission was more than paperwork,” the statement quoted him as saying. “It was a covenant with the people of Etsako, and we shall honour it with service, integrity, and results.”
The organisation said the development signals a renewed push to “rescue and rebuild” Etsako Federal Constituency, with Jimawo pledging to provide tested, credible, and people-centred leadership if elected.
With the forms now submitted, the campaign team said it is moving forward with renewed strength and focus ahead of the party’s primaries and the 2027 general elections.
