Day of Joy and Honor: Mrs. Ikhayere Mary Oboh Celebrates Her 90th Birthday in Grand Style Habiba Sam  Mrs. Ikhayere Mary Oboh's 90th birthday celebration was a grand affair that brought together family, friends, and dignitaries from across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the US.  The occasion which was held at Molen Event Center, Ekpoma, Edo State was marked with warmth and joy, as guests gathered to honor her life and legacy.  The birthday celebration was officially opened by Chief Abraham Jimawo (JP), a respected leader and former Executive Director of the Edo State Rapid Response Agency and son-in-law  to the celebrant with prayers and the traditional breaking of the kola nut. Edo State Government Takes Certificate Of Occupancy Services To The Grassroots Habiba Sam  The Edo State Government has taken a significant step towards making Certificate of Occupancy (CofO) services more accessible to residents of Edo Central Senatorial District.  The government has officially launched the Edo Central office of the Edo State Geographic Information Service (EDOGIS) in Ekpoma, a move aimed at bringing the services closer to the grassroots. The new office, located at the Esan West Council Secretariat along the Benin-Auchi express road in Ekpoma, will cater to the CofO needs of residents in the five local government areas of Esan West, Esan Central, Esan North-East, Esan South-East, and Igueben.  By providing this service, the government hopes to reduce the challenges faced by residents in accessing CofO services, thereby promoting ease of doing business in the state. Edo Govt Reaffirms Commitment to Combating GBV, Empowering Women Habiba Sam  The Edo State Government has reiterated its commitment to fighting Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and promoting women's empowerment.  Mrs. Edesili Okpebholo Anani, Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, made this pledge during a meeting with GBV survivors and beneficiaries of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) grants. The Sen. Monday Okpebholo-led administration has adopted a zero-tolerance stance on violence against women, prioritizing their empowerment to boost self-sufficiency.  Mrs. Anani urged survivors to speak out and seek justice, emphasizing that empowerment is crucial to their well-being.
