Edo First Lady's Office Praises Lady Mechanic Initiative for Empowering Women

During a visit to the Lady Mechanic workshop in Benin City, Mrs. Anani commended the founder, Sandra Aguebor, for her dedication to uplifting young women.
The Lady Mechanic Initiative has trained 50 girls in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) conversion, a highly sought-after skill that promotes environmental sustainability and financial independence.
Mrs. Anani assured the team of the state government's support, emphasizing the administration's commitment to initiatives that foster self-reliance among women and girls.
The graduation ceremony for the trained beneficiaries will take place on July 4, 2025, at the New Festival Hall, Government House, Benin City.
The Lady Mechanic Initiative has expanded to 20 states across Nigeria, offering life-changing opportunities to women and girls from various backgrounds.
The program aims to reduce social vices among young women and promote financial independence through vocational skills training.
